Customized Facials. Thoughtful Skincare.
You don't have to figure out what your skin needs before you book. Every facial at Back Bar is customized around how your skin looks, feels, and responds that day. Simply choose your facial length, and I will take care of the rest.
Best Facial in Spokane
The best facial is not necessarily the longest treatment, the strongest peel, or the one with the most steps. It is the facial that makes sense for your skin, your goals, and how you want to spend your time. At Back Bar Skincare, every facial is customized after you arrive. You choose the length of the experience, and I choose the products and treatment steps around how your skin looks, feels, and responds that day.
Customized. Unhurried. Thoughtful.
How do I choose the best facial for my skin?
You do not need to diagnose your skin or choose from a long list of treatments before booking. Start by deciding how much time you want and what kind of experience you are looking for.
You may want:
♥ A shorter facial focused on the essentials
♥ A complete facial that fits comfortably into your day
♥ More time for treatment, extractions, and massage
♥ A long, restorative facial without feeling rushed
♥ A targeted advanced treatment for texture, scarring, or visible aging changes
Once you arrive, we will talk through your skin, routine, and priorities before deciding what the appointment should include.
What makes a Back Bar facial different?
-
You book by time
Instead of choosing a facial based on a skin type or a trendy treatment name, you choose how much time you would like. This gives me room to adjust the products, exfoliation, massage, masking, extractions, and finishing steps around what your skin needs that day. Your facial can change between visits as your skin, routine, and environment change.
-
Relaxation is part of the treatment
A facial can address your skin while still feeling restorative. The amount of massage and hands-on care depends on the appointment length, your preferences, and what your skin can comfortably support. You will not be pushed into the strongest treatment — the most aggressive option is not automatically the best facial.
What will you look at during my facial?
I look at more than one breakout, dry patch, or fine line. I consider:
♥ How your skin feels after cleansing
♥ Where you experience dryness, sensitivity, oiliness, or congestion
♥ The type and location of breakouts
♥ Changes in texture, pigmentation, firmness, or hydration
♥ The cleanser, treatments, moisturizer, and sunscreen you use
♥ Prescription products, medications, and recent procedures
♥ Seasonal, hormonal, and lifestyle changes
♥ How your skin responds throughout the appointment
This helps me decide which products and techniques make sense without overwhelming your skin.
What can a customized facial include?
Depending on your skin and appointment length, your facial may include:
♥ Thorough cleansing
♥ Customized exfoliation
♥ Enzymes or targeted treatment products
♥ Careful extractions
♥ Layered hydration
♥ Facial oil or balm
♥ A clarifying, hydrating, or calming mask
♥ Facial, scalp, neck, shoulder, arm, or hand massage
♥ Finishing products selected around your skin and routine
Not every facial needs every step. Your treatment may focus more heavily on congestion, hydration, sensitivity, massage, brightness, texture, or relaxation depending on what you need that day.
More about your facial
What if I want a more advanced treatment?
Some concerns may benefit from a separate advanced service rather than a regular customized facial.
Nano infusion is a needle-free facial treatment that may be selected for the appearance of fine lines, uneven texture, dullness, and pigmentation. It offers a more targeted treatment experience while remaining different from microneedling.
Microneedling may be considered for concerns such as acne scarring, uneven texture, and more established visible skin changes. It is not performed over active, inflamed breakouts or skin that is currently irritated or unstable. A consultation helps determine whether microneedling fits your skin, goals, medications, and treatment history.
DMK Enzyme Therapy is a separate treatment experience with its own process, preparation, and goals. It may be considered when you want a more intensive professional treatment and are comfortable with the time and experience involved.
The most advanced service is not automatically the best choice. We will consider your skin, goals, comfort, and current routine before deciding what fits.
Which skin concerns can be addressed?
A customized facial may be adjusted around:
♥ Dry or dehydrated skin
♥ Sensitive or reactive skin
♥ Breakouts and congestion
♥ Hormonal skin changes
♥ Uneven texture or dullness
♥ Fine lines and visible aging changes
♥ Pigmentation and sun-related discoloration
♥ A routine that feels confusing or no longer works
♥ Skin that simply needs professional care and relaxation
You do not need to fit into only one category. Many clients experience several concerns at the same time, which is why the facial is customized rather than built around one label.
What if this is my first facial?
You do not need to know what to ask for. We will begin by talking about how your skin currently feels, what you would like help with, products and prescriptions you use, previous facials or procedures, sensitivities, allergies, or recent reactions, and how much massage, conversation, and education you prefer. Your first facial is a chance for me to learn about your skin and for you to experience how Back Bar works.
Is the longest facial always the best facial?
No. The best appointment length depends on the experience you want and how much time you have. A Spritzer can be a great fit when you want focused professional care. A Top Shelf is the better choice when you want the most time for massage, customization, and relaxation. A longer appointment gives us more time, but it does not mean your skin needs stronger products or more aggressive treatment.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Do I need to know my skin type before booking?
No. You may have a general idea of whether your skin feels dry, oily, sensitive, or acne-prone, but you do not need to diagnose it or choose a treatment based on that label. Book the facial length you want, and we will make the treatment decisions together.
Will my skin peel afterward?
Usually, no. Visible peeling is not the goal of a customized facial. Some temporary dryness, pinkness, or mild flaking may happen depending on your skin and the exfoliation used.
Will I be expected to buy products?
No. We may talk about your home routine and which steps could help, but you will not be pressured to replace everything or purchase a long list of products. A useful recommendation should make your routine clearer, not more overwhelming.
Is tipping expected?
No tipping at Back Bar. You can simply book, come in, and enjoy your facial.
How do I get better results from my facial?
You do not need a complicated routine. The most useful things you can do are:
♥ Be honest about the products and prescriptions you use
♥ Avoid picking or aggressively scrubbing your skin
♥ Pause irritating products when your skin is already reactive
♥ Use moisturizer and sunscreen consistently
♥ Give new products enough time before changing everything again
♥ Ask questions when your routine stops making sense
Professional treatments and home care work best when they support each other.
-
Can I book if my skin is sensitive?
Yes. Tell me about recent reactions, allergies, prescription products, diagnosed conditions, and anything that currently stings or causes discomfort. The facial can be simplified and adjusted around what your skin tolerates.
-
Will you do extractions?
Extractions may be included when clogged pores are ready to be removed safely. I do not force deep, inflamed, or painful areas. Some congestion needs consistent home care, multiple appointments, or medical treatment rather than more pressure.
-
How often should I get a facial?
That depends on your skin, goals, schedule, and budget. Some clients come every four to six weeks. Others book seasonally, before an event, when their skin changes, or whenever they need time for themselves. There is no required schedule.
-
Is the longest facial always the best?
No. The best appointment length depends on the experience you want and how much time you have. A longer appointment gives us more time, but it does not mean your skin needs stronger products or more aggressive treatment.
